Once known as the Voodoo Music Experience, is now referred to as the Voodoo Music + Arts Experience, is an annual multi-day festival held in New Orleans, Louisiana at the City Park. This is an art and music festival, which debuted in 1999. Over the course of this festival’s history, it is estimated that the event hosted over 2,000 acts and over a million attendees. The event is produced by C3 and was acquired by Live Nation Entertainment back in 2013.
The first event of this festival took place on Halloween 1999. This event is now held annually around Halloween, a tradition that people near and far come to attend annually. The event was founded by Stephen Rehage. Artist from across the globe are featured at this event, as are local acts. Major acts such as My Chemical Romance, Metallica, and Snoop Dogg have been featured at this event in the past.
The 2020 Voodoo Music Festival was unable to go on due to the pandemic. The organization that runs this event remains focused on bringing this event back in 2021.
