Event Info

Art Basel is an international art fair that is for-profit and privately owned. These events take place annually in Hong Kong, Miami beach, and Switzerland. Art Basel originally started in 1970 in Switzerland by Balz Hilt, Trudl Bruckner, and Ernst Beyeler who were gallerists at Basel. In its first year, over 16,000 attendees who were able to view 90 galleries from 10 countries. The popularity of this event led them to expand to Miami Beach in 2002 and Hong Kong in 2008.

Hong Kong Basel has decided to postpone their event to May 21st, and it will conclude on May 23rd, 2021. This is still a fluid situation due to the pandemic, so this will likely be looked at again before tickets can go up for sale.
