Hamptons Film Festival

The Hamptons Film Festival, known as the Hamptons International Film Festival, was founded in 1992 by Joyce Robinson. This is an annual event that usually takes place over the course of 5 days in mid-October. The event is spread across different venues in the Long Island part of New York. It is estimated that 18,000 attendees come to this festival every year and there are nearly 100 films that are featured every year. These include films from around 20 countries.

This film festival was founded as a way to celebrate indie films and give a forum to the indie filmmakers in America and across the globe. This event typically showcases narrative films, documentaries, and short films. Often films from the festival end up qualifying for the prestigious Academy Awards.  When the festival itself is not taking place, there are other events and screenings throughout the year.

The dates for the Hamptons Film Festival are October 7th – 11th 2021. Tickets for the event typically go up for sale in September for individual tickets. However, passes and packages are up for sale right now and can be ordered online from their official website.
