Event Info

ARCO Madrid is a Spanish International Contemporary Art Fair attended by innovative creators and renowned experts from the sector. The first edition of the ARCO Madrid Fair was held in 1982 by the gallery owner, Juana de Aizpuru. What started as a gallery fair that brings together an artistic offer ranging from historical to contemporary and modern art has graduated into one of the leading platforms for the art market. Today, the International Contemporary Art Fair is organized by IFEMA – Feria de Madrid.

Year after year, the Art Fair curates a wide range of national and international galleries across its different programs. The participating artists and galleries contribute to the fairs through presentations, debates, and conferences. Notable sections of the ARCO Madrid International Contemporary Art Fair include General Program – the best galleries chosen by the Committee, the Opening Section – created for galleries that have existed for seven years at the most, and the Dialogues – one of the three ARCO Madrid research spaces.
